Leipzig, Germany - WTOIP’s representative, Vice President Mr. Edmont Rao attended one of the Germany’s most important industry-wide event for SMEs, MITTELSTÄNDISCHER UNTERNEHMERTAG (MUT) Medium-sized Enterprises Congress on October 19th at the congress center Leipzig.
MUT has been run for 12 consecutive years by the German Federal Association of SMEs. The 2017 session has attracted a large number of makers and innovators from the business and science circles, as well as decision-makers and local key political figures.
The event offered workshops and forums covering a wide array of topics. One of the highlights of the day was the ‘Innovation for Medium-Sized Enterprises’ startup-forum and pitch, a showcase of young innovation companies from all parts of Germany, where their business models and innovative products were presented on stage. 10 companies took part in the startup-forum, presenting their projects from realms of industry 4.0, Big Data analysis, data security, automated production and procurement analysis. The startup-forum was supported by one of the largest coworking spaces for startups in central Germany, the Basislager Coworking Space, a dynamic community of 140 young enterprises, who collaborate together on tomorrow’s disruptive ideas.
The other highlight was the German-Chinese SME Forum aiming at promoting trade relations and cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and China. The forum provided regional German companies the opportunity for international exchange and learning on the latest trends of cooperation with Chinese SMEs.
