WTOIP and the Development Corporation of Tomsk Region, Russia, represented by Ms. Amy Chan, Co-founder and Director of International Business Development of WTOIP and Mr. Stanislav Yashchuk, Director General of the Development Corporation of Tomsk Region, have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) over strategic cooperation.
Scope of the MoU emphasises the introduction of Russian entrepreneurs and innovators to WTOIP, acting as their primary intellectual property consultant and intellectual property trading agency in China.
The Development Corporation of Tomsk Region will connect Russian technology and innovation facilitating organizations with WTOIP, to promote the latest technological developments from Russian local markets to Chinese enterprises that are seeking comprehensive technological solutions.
Mr. Yashchuk expressed that Tomsk region is a stronghold for innovations in fields such as biomedicine, nanotechnology, new materials and robotics. He would exert his entire efforts to attract local Russian innovators to promote their technological solutions in China, especially in the field of biomedicine.
Mr. Yashchuk stated that Tomsk Polytechnic University is well recognised in the region for its research and new technology development of gamma-ray scanners for various medical and pharmaceutical applications.
WTOIP together with the Development Corporation of Tomsk Region will also co-organise business interaction events, intellectual property seminars and tech conferences in its headquarters or partner events in which it will be participating in China. The Development Corporation of Tomsk Region has also become the partner of the IPIEC Global 2017 and will support Russian innovators to participate in the contest and showcase their inventions.
